Zoning

The Town of Wendell has in place an ordinance regulating the of use of land.  The purpose of this ordinance is to accomplish a coordinated, balanced, and harmonious development of the land within  the corporate limits and ETJ (extraterritorial jurisdiction) in a manner which will best promote the health, safety, morals, convenience, order, prosperity, and general welfare of the citizens of Wendell.

If you would like a copy of the Zoning ordinance, you can find it at the bottom of this page.  If you would like a hard copy, they can be picked up or mailed with an invoice for $20.  If you choose to receive a hard copy, please contact the Planning Department at (919) 365-4444.

There are 13 zoning districts in the corporate limits and extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) of Wendell.  These districts are listed below and are under Town Ordinance 154.030.
