The Doug Proctor Field at Wendell Park is under renovation! This past week the Doug Proctor Field had the existing light poles and fixtures replaced with new aluminum poles and new fixtures. New fencing was installed and the outfield fence was moved to 190 feet! In the near future plans are being finalized to replace the dugouts and scorer's stand. These renovations are the first to be done since the field was built over thirty years ago!

Spring Sports Registration is now in progress!
Spring t-ball, ages 4, baseball ages 5-14 and girls softball, ages 7-15, registration forms are now available online under our registration forms and documents link to the left. For more information please contact Kelley Connolly at 366-2266.

New for 2010!
The Town of Wendell Parks and Recreation Department launches new program and partnership!

Our Girl's volleyball will begin this year to provide young girls in our area with an introduction to the game of volleyball. Our goal is to encourage girls to begin playing volleyball at a young age and progress in the sport to the middle and high school programs. SSAA Men's Slowpitch Softball is coming to Wendell in 2010! Kelley Connolly and SSAA area director Archie Braswell have agreed on 13 dates from March until November that will host both E and D tournaments. Upcoming Coaches Clinics for Baseball

We will be hosting tow special coaches clinics this winter featuring some of the top instructors and coaches in our area. Johnny Narron will be focusing on hitting while Campbell University Head Coach Jeff Goff and Pitching Coach Aubrey Blackwell will offer a pitching clinic.
